On behalf of all of us at Buchanan School we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you to the parents and volunteers who supported our Grade 5 & 6 students on their field trip this week.
Thank you to the volunteers on the Sticker Competition Judging Committee for spending time this week selecting the top 5 stickers.

This past week CBE School Trustee Laura Hack visited Buchanan School to present Milo and Mylli, with Honorable Mention Certificates for the Alberta School Council’s Association Indigenous Spirit Awards.
Breakfast Club:
The Breakfast club continues to run Monday-Thursday mornings in the learning commons from 8:25am-8:45am. It is open to all students who would like to come. Breakfast club participants must enter and exit the school via the northeast office doors. Ms. Akhter will offer students a cold breakfast consisting of a protein, produce and grain item.
A school dance for all Buchanan students is being organized this year by the school council members. More information to come next week. So far only the DJ has been booked and the time set.
Volunteering at Buchanan?
In order to volunteer at Buchanan School, you need to have an updated police information clearance. The school council is willing to cover the cost of this service if you volunteer at the school. The Police clearance Record is valid for up to 5 years, if you already have one on file and valid, you do not need to reapply, please contact the office to clarify and for more information.
